Our Missions

Thank you to all who have contributed to making Mission activities a success in 2024.  Over the past year we have continued to help others in our own community and in the greater world.   

Seafarers’ Mission:  Our longstanding support of Seafarers’ Mission continued, however our collection method changed.   We collected items from June until November and were able to deliver 126 ++ pounds of items to the Mission!  A huge success toward providing Christmas cheer to those men and women whose work on the seas is essential in the supply of goods around the world but is often lonely and dangerous.

Christmas Families:  For many years St. Augustine’s has partnered with St. Mark’s Church to provide groceries for KV area families at Christmas.  In 2024 our church collected gift cards to support eight families.  

Memory Angels:  This year our Advent Memory Angels project raised $670.  Combined with net proceeds of $1128 from the NB Power lunch we were able to send $899 to both the Primates’ World Relief and Development Fund Canadian Food Grains Bank and KV Food Basket.  These programs both work to counter food insecurity, one in developing countries and one here in Quispamsis/Rothesay.

KV Food Basket:  Parishioners are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at the church for delivery to the KV Food Basket.

At Home Parishioners: At Easter and Christmas, gifts were delivered to parishioners who are not able to come to church.

We welcome ideas as we try to find new ways to provide help and outreach in the community, particularly on an ongoing basis.
